Historic Capital Copper Commission
Participating in the historic copper program through the Kansas Historical Society has been a fun and challenging opportunity to use copper removed from the roof of the Kansas State Capital building. Kansas artists create work from the reclaimed copper to be sold in the capital building and historical society gift shops. My small dishes combine a number of enameling techniques as well as metal etching and forming. A variety of state symbols decorate the enameled dishes while others feature the natural patina from years of weather exposure.
